Purchasing

The Purchasing department processes formal bids and specialty purchases.

Purchases of $50,000 or more require a formal bidding process which involves sending out information to various vendors allowing them the opportunity to compete for the best price. This allows for the District to receive the best goods at the most competitive prices.

This department handles sending out information to the vendors, getting the information back from the vendors, ordering, and receiving the goods ordered.

This department also maintains a bidding list of vendors.

Examples include District food purchases, custodial supplies, paper, etc.
