VIDEO: NC Volleyball Performs “Fight Song” in Sign Language

Members of Natrona County High School’s Student Council and volleyball team recently raised money to donate to Susan G. Komen for the Cure – a foundation that funds breast cancer research, and outreach and advocacy programs. Before their game on October 17 vs. Rock Springs (won by NC 3-0), members of the NC volleyball team gained pledges from community members for each kill scored during their match. These pledges, along with t-shirt sales, and the sale of other accessories, totaled more than $2,000.

At the game, in an effort to gain more attention to their fundraising efforts, members of the NC team performed the hit song “Fight Song” in Sign Language. The students were taught how to sign the song by functional life skills (FLS) teachers Melody Lehman and Robert Peterson. Some students from Peterson’s ACM Therapy Group (a therapeutic program for individuals with developmental disabilities) also joined in the song. Check it out below.

Thank you to the NC Student Council, NC volleyball team, ACM’s staff and students, Mrs. Lehman and Mr. Peterson for a wonderful job on a worthy cause!
