Summit Elementary’s 8th Annual Leadership Day

Summit Elementary students hosted their 8th Annual Leadership Day! Student groups from all grade levels prepared booths covering topics from math and science to history and world cultures. To celebrate the great work of the students, families and community members were invited to attend student presentations during the Annual Leadership Day.

Many booths had interactive games for family members to participate in while other booths students showcased art projects and taught visitors their artistic techniques.

3rd-grade students Jett, Chloe, and Alice created a Food Drive and gathered food donations to benefit Wyoming Food for Thought. Chloe explained their class selected projects based on needs within our own community. Their booth displayed facts about hunger needs in the local area and ways to help!

Additional student presentations focused on student competitions. 5th-grade student Addie competes in Geography Bees and qualified to compete at State at the end of March. She had a station where visitors could see her medals and she quizzed them with geography questions.

The event ended with a full school performance where students played drums, danced, and sang for their families. Great job Summit Elementary!
