Summer School 2020

All NCSD schools will offer a summer school opportunity from July 27th through August 14th.

This opportunity is being offered in order to provide all students with the option to re-engage in the learning environment prior to the start of the fall semester. 

NCSD Transportation and Food Service will be available during the July 27th through August 14th summer school opportunity. Parents and guardians can register their child for NCSD Transportation for summer school by clicking on the link during the registration process. 

Registration for summer school will be open now through July 10th. 

Register your student(s) for summer school: 

  • Visit 
  • Click on the NCSD Campus Parent Portal link (right-hand side of the screen)
  • Choose Campus Parent and log-in using your username and password 
  • Once logged in, click “more” on the left side of screen 
  • Then choose – Summer School Registration 2020 under Quick Links on the right side of the screen
    • To complete the Summer School Registration you will need your student’s ID number which can be found under “Today” in Campus Parent.

The health and safety of students, staff, and our community remains our priority focus. NCSD schools will follow local and state health orders as part of the SmartStart Reopening plan. 

The below safety and health practices will be in effect for Summer School and activity opportunities: 

  • Students and staff must stay home if they are sick. 
  • Restrictions on group sizes remain in place.
  • Social distancing of at least 6ft or greater will remain in effect.
    • If unable to social distance, protective gear – such as face coverings will be required to be worn. 
    • Specifically, students utilizing NCSD Bus Transportation to and from school will be required to socially distance and wear a face covering while on the bus. 
  • Hand washing stations, or hand sanitizer, will be readily available. 
  • Facilities will be disinfected by supervising staff members between each session and follow NCSD Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocol for Flu and Virus Outbreaks.  
  • Students and staff will self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19. If symptoms are present, stay home and contact your healthcare provider. 
  • Access to buildings will continue to be controlled and monitored.

Protocols identified for the return of summer school learning and summer athletics and activities may be revised in accordance with all directives or orders of the Governor of the State of Wyoming and/or the Casper-Natrona County Health Department as restrictions ease or tighten during this time.

Proactive and targeted planning is underway by NCSD to reopen schools for next fall. We are working diligently with local and state officials, in coordination with the Wyoming Department of Education, to identify next steps for Fall, 2020.
