NCSD Safety Reminder

NCSD officials received a report that a person in a white SUV offered a student a ride after school hours today (Mar. 23) near Dean Morgan Junior High. The student immediately reported the incident to an adult. Local Law Enforcement was notified of the situation.

As the weather warms up it’s likely students will be walking to and from school more frequently or simply spending time outside enjoying the warmer weather. This is a good opportunity to share some safety reminders with your child.

Please remind them they should not accept rides from unknown individuals or approach unknown vehicles and/or persons. Students should report anything suspicious to their bus driver, school personnel, parent/guardian or local law enforcement.

If you’re looking for fun spring break opportunities to keep your kids active and engaged during the break please check out the post linked below with spring break camp information.

The Natrona County School District Board of Trustees believes the way you look and speak affects your behavior and academic performance. To make sure your students have the best opportunity to succeed there is a district dress code policy. As the weather begins to get warmer, and you start Spring clothes shopping please keep the dress code in mind, and help your children be successful at school!

Good Attendance = High Achievement

NCSD recognizes that attendance is a very important part of learning.  Our community expects students to be present and participate in class every day, just as they expect their employees to be at work. Regular, complete, and continued class attendance by students is essential to the accomplishment of their educational goals and high achievement in school. Doing well in school is great, but there are plenty of reasons to have good attendance. Check out just a few of them in this video:
