Feedback Opportunity – KWHS Principal Candidates Public Forum

NCSD would like to invite all interested students, parents, and community members to provide their impressions of each Kelly Walsh High School principal candidate from Thursday night’s forum.

Volunteers Needed for 2018 FIRST Tech Challenge

Are you interested in volunteering for the 2018 FIRST Tech Challenge Wyoming State Championship Tournament?

The event is Saturday, February 17 at CY Middle School and they need judges! A short training is involved and you’ll be all set to help out on the 17th!

NCSD Spelling Bee Results

Forty-one second through eighth grade students from Casper Classical Academy, Cottonwood, Dean Morgan, Fort Caspar Academy, Midwest and Pineview registered for the 2018 NCSD Spelling Bee.

After two hours of 75 written words and 25 vocabulary words in the morning and another couple hours in the afternoon of orally spelling words, the top five competitors were confirmed:

Beau Bartling, DM, 7th grade, Laura Stadtfeld, sponsor – 1st place

Isaac Vreeman, Pineview, 5th grade, Theresa Produit, sponsor – 2nd place

Madison Wright, DM, 7th grade, Laura Stadtfeld, sponsor – 3rd place

Laurel Zieger, Pineview, 5th grade, Theresa Produit, sponsor – 4th place

Abigail Glennon, Fort Caspar Academy, 4th grade, Stephanie Lamb, sponsor – 5th place

2018-19 NCSD Preschool Registration Information

Registration for NCSD’s preschool program will be from May 1-31, 2018.

Seven schools in Natrona County will host half-day preschool programs during the 2018–19 school year: Bar Nunn, Cottonwood, Evansville, Journey, Lincoln, Midwest, and Pineview Elementary Schools. Preschool students must be 3 or older by September 15, 2018.

Community Early Learning Fair – Saturday, February 3 from 9:00 a.m. – noon at Casper Family YMCA Fieldhouse – Attend to learn about the many early learning opportunities that exist in Natrona County for children ages 0-5. Click here for more information!


Coming Soon – No School Feb. 16 & Feb. 19

Students will be out of school on Friday, February 16 as teachers and staff participate in professional development and on Monday, February 19 in observance of President’s Day. This four-day​ weekend for students will be the only days off of school between now and Spring Break at the end of March.

Title II State-Level Uses of Funds Survey

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) has developed a needs assessment survey regarding professional development. It will help guide decision-making about which professional development activities will be coordinated and delivered by the WDE.

Wyoming school personnel, parents, and community members are invited to participate in this survey to help determine what activities will be offered by the WDE to augment professional development initiatives with the goal of preparing, training, and recruiting high-quality teachers, principals, and other school leaders. Click here to take the survey.

This survey will be open until February 28, 2018.
