7th Graders Honored at 10th Annual Middle Level Sportsmanship Champions Awards and Luncheon

Each year one 7th grade female, male and coach from Dean Morgan, Centennial, CY, CCA and Midwest are recommended by their administration, coaches, Athletics & Activities Facilitators and peers for this award. The recipients are presented a certificate of appreciation and eat a delicious lunch catered by Qdoba.

Reminder: School Safety Videos

NCSD and the Casper Police Department teamed up to create several safety videos regarding safety issues around schools and buses. As the weather gets warmer the frequency of students as pedestrians is increasing. Please watch the videos at the links below to view good safety practices for drivers around schools and buses.

Save the Date: Safe Kids Day – Sat., May 5

Make plans to attend the Safe Kids Day on Saturday, May 5 at the Boys & Girls Club in Casper where you can check out resources from community organizations. There will also be children’s face painting, and drawings for a Kindle Fire and a bike!

NCSD Dress Code Reminder

The Natrona County School District Board of Trustees believes the way you look and speak affects your behavior and academic performance. To make sure your students have the best opportunity to succeed there is a district dress code policy. As the weather begins to get warmer please keep the dress code in mind, and help your children be successful at school!

Good Attendance = High Achievement

NCSD recognizes that attendance is a very important part of learning.  Our community expects students to be present and participate in class every day, just as they expect their employees to be at work. Regular, complete, and continued class attendance by students is essential to the accomplishment of their educational goals and high achievement in school. Doing well in school is great, but there are plenty of reasons to have good attendance. Check out just a few of them in this video:

2018-19 NCSD Preschool Registration Information

Registration for NCSD’s preschool program will be from May 1-31, 2018.

Seven schools in Natrona County will host half-day preschool programs during the 2018–19 school year: Bar Nunn, Cottonwood, Evansville, Journey, Lincoln, Midwest, and Pineview Elementary Schools. Preschool students must be 3 or older by September 15, 2018.
