The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International (DKG), a professional organization of women educators, provided an intense two-week 2018 Leadership Management Seminar in early July.  NCSD educators Suzanne Moum Nelson, previously an 8th Grade Social Studies teacher at Casper Classical Academy, now Coordinator at Summit Elementary and Verda James Elementary and Marie Puryear, previously Principal of Casper Classical Academy, and now Director of Human Resources and District Services, were selected to be two of 30 international participants. This program, a custom designed training in collaboration with DKG and The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, provided learning experiences that develop leadership, communication, and management skills.

Participants represented the international membership of the Society and reflected a diversity of disciplines, professional levels, and life experiences.  This opportunity promoted the personal and professional growth of women educators, impacting education worldwide.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International was founded in 1929 and has a current membership of more than 65,000 women educators. For further information about the organization go to dkg.org.
