NCSD Teacher Named as 2019 Wyoming ACTE New Teacher of the Year!

Congratulations to Joseph Martinez who has been named as the 2019 Wyoming ACTE New Teacher of the Year! This award recognizes new CTE teachers who have made significant contributions toward innovative and unique career and technical education programs!

Joseph taught Small Gas Engines, Exploring Technology, Intro to Industrial Technology, Intro to Woodshop, Wood Technology, and Drafting &Design at Dean Morgan for four years and has recently moved to Roosevelt High School to help start a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program! In his letter of recommendation, fellow CTE teacher Rob Hill said, “Mr. Martinez is of the highest moral character and promotes the work of WACTE, WTEA, and Wyoming CTE in a professional manner. In his work, he always makes sure the end result is achieved. Because of this trait, he has emerged as a leader.

Joseph will now be moved forward to compete for the ACTE New Teacher of the Year at the Regional level! Congratulations again Joseph!
