School Mask Retrieval

We need your help, we are running low on the supply of our school-provided masks across the district! Please send back to school any school-provided masks that may have gone home with your child. It is important for students to return school provided masks at the end of the day. Please send back any school-provided masks from home to school and ask your student(s) to deposit them at their designated school location. All masks will be laundered upon their return to school.

COVID-19 Dashboard Update

The Natrona County School District remains committed to the timely, consistent, and transparent dissemination of public information while ensuring we are protecting student and staff privacy, as related to known COVID-19 impacts on school and district facilities.

As recently reported by local and state health officials, there has been a significant rise of COVID-19 cases and related impacts within Natrona County. At this time, there has not been a determination made by the Casper-Natrona County Health Department and health officers of COVID-19 spread within the school environment. However, we are seeing an increase of students and staff placed in quarantine or isolation as related to COVID-19 impacts from outside the school/district environment.

As a result of the magnitude of COVID-19 quarantines and isolations throughout the community, NCSD will no longer be reporting daily updates of student/staff COVID-19 positives within the school environment.

NCSD Climate Survey

The NCSD Climate Survey has been extended. The survey will now be open through November 20th.

The Natrona County School District is committed to ensuring all district environments are safe, orderly, supportive, and conducive to a climate of high expectations for students, staff, and the community.

We would like to ask for your help by completing the NCSD Climate Parent/Guardian survey below.

The purpose of this survey is to measure our work on engagement, environment, and safety. This survey is anonymous and the information gained from this survey will be used to help implement improvements at all schools and facilities.

If you have students at multiple schools, please fill out a separate survey for each school.

Community Feedback Opportunity – NCSD Budget Development Strategies!

The Natrona County School District, in partnership with all stakeholders, is committed to being fiscally responsible and purposeful with the resources and funds provided to us by our state and local community while maintaining exceptional educational environments for all.

Due largely to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Wyoming, along with the rest of the nation, has seen a significant economic decline. Our state legislators are working diligently to address these concerns and we appreciate their dedicated work during these very challenging times.

The Natrona County School District is anticipating significant upcoming reductions to state funding.

As we work through the annual budget development process for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, the Board Budget Committee is requesting stakeholders to provide their input and feedback. ( Click here for the current 2020-2021 Annual Budget

We believe the steadiest way to overcome the challenges in front of us is through proactive planning, collaborative and inclusive conversations, effective operations, and by maintaining our commitment to our priority budget development strategies.

The Board Budget development process continues to be guided by the following priorities:

  1. Maintain a focus on student learning and the Districts strategic goals, funding essential functions and services
  2. Achieve operational efficiencies and effectiveness
  3. Maintain a competitive compensation package
  4. Maintain facilities to avoid the effects of deferred maintenance and ensure safe and secure environments

Your feedback is greatly appreciated and valued as together, we work through the upcoming fiscal environment. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your thoughts and perspective.

We will continue to be transparent and collaborative in our approach towards creating strategies to do our part in remaining fiscally responsible while maintaining a priority focus on student learning and meeting the needs of all stakeholders while advancing the strategic goals, mission, and visionary culture of NCSD.
