NCSD Climate Survey

The Natrona County School District is committed to ensuring all district environments are safe, orderly, supportive, and conducive to a climate of high expectations for students, staff, and the community.

We would like to ask for your help by completing the survey below.

The purpose of this survey is to measure our work on engagement, environment, and safety.

This survey is anonymous and the information gained from this survey will be used to help implement improvements at all schools and facilities.

If you have students at multiple schools, please fill out a separate survey for each school.

Coats For Kids

Last year, Coats for Kids provided approximately 3,000 coats and cold weather items for individuals in need in our community.

Donations of gently used or new coats, mittens, hats, gloves, and snow boots are currently being accepted.

Thank you to Kiwanis Club of Casper for your great work in providing cold-weather gear for students and families! Click here to learn more about the Coats for Kids Drive.

#EverydayExcellence

Great things are happening in our schools and buildings across the District…all day… every day. Throughout the year, we will be celebrating these #EverydayExcellence moments on our NCSD social media accounts….you guessed it, every day! Students, staff, and parents are working diligently together to make sure all students have a great learning experience.

Cottonwood visits Wyoming Food for Thought

2nd graders from Cottonwood Elementary had the opportunity to spend time on Monday at the Wyoming Food for Thought Program Center! Students learned all about what the Wyoming Food for Thought Project does in our community and helped them with a few projects!

Students colored Thanksgiving placemats for families to make their Thanksgiving tables a little brighter! They also helped prepare sandwiches and some special treats for the WFFTP Weekend Food Bag Program.

WFFTP prepares and delivers over 650 food bags weekly to children in our community. The students also helped add labels to seed bags that will be used in the spring!

Great work Cottonwood Elementary Wildcats! #EverydayExcellence #StudentSnapshot

Crest Hill Muddy Fingers Club

For the first time this year, 2nd and 3rd grade students at Crest Hill Elementary are able to participate in the Muddy Fingers After School Club! This club meets every Tuesday to learn all about horticulture. They make healthy snacks, grow vegetables, and make garden crafts!

We had the opportunity to stop by yesterday and see them in action! They made some “Bee Hotels”, tended to their growing lettuce, and dissected some lilies to learn more about how flowers grow!

2nd grader Devin said, “The best part is learning about nature!”

3rd grader Milo said, “I love spending time with friends here.”

2nd grader Eden said, “My favorite part is doing the crafts!”

#EverydayExcellence #StudentSnapshot

We want to celebrate as many terrific things as possible, if you have an idea to share about something great or fun happening in your child’s school or classroom, please let us know by emailing communications@myncsd.org
