2020-2021 Open Enrollment Window is Open!

During the Open Enrollment period, families are able to enroll their children for the 2020-21 school year. NCSD believes no single education style fits the needs of all children. Open Enrollment gives families the opportunity to find the schools that are best for their individual children.

The Open Enrollment period is the time for families of the following groups of students to choose their school preference for the 2020-21 school year:

  • Incoming kindergarteners
  • Students moving from 5th to 6th grade
  • Students moving from 8th to 9th grade
  • Students currently enrolled who wish to switch schools
  • And all other students new to NCSD for 2020-2021

When choosing a school that best fits your child, we encourage you to research schools before you make your selection. NCSD’s Family Guide provides detailed information on each school. Additionally, Open House dates have been scheduled and can be found in the link below.

NCSD Online Open Enrollment is January 2nd – 24th, 2020

NCSD Public Feedback & Partnership Opportunity

The Natrona County School District Board of Trustees is committed to ensuring all District environments are safe, orderly, and supportive while promoting high expectations for students and staff. The topic of vaping, e-cigarettes, and other tobacco product usage by youth in our community, and our in schools, has been a recent conversation of high-priority amongst teachers, parents, students, school leaders, Trustees, and our community partners.

The Board of Trustees will be dedicating the work sessions of the Jan 13th and 27th, 2020, Board of Trustees Meetings to the topic of illegal vaping, e-cigarettes, and other tobacco product usage by youth in our schools. During these public work sessions, Trustees will hear from middle-level and high school leadership teams, community partner agencies, and District officials on data, trends, prevention, and education efforts.

“We recognize and greatly value the contributions of our entire community towards creating safe and healthy school environments,” said Tanya Southerland, NCSD Public Relations Officer, “We would like to ask for public feedback and attendance during the Jan 13th and 27th, 2020, Board of Trustees Work Session to be held at 6:00 p.m. at Central Services Facility.”

Additionally, stakeholders can provide feedback by sending comments to communications@myncsd.org on or before Jan 27th, 2020. The comments will be collected, without alteration, and submitted to the Board of Trustees for review.
