Back to School 2020!

The first day of school in Natrona County is September 2nd! As we work to ensure all students are ready and prepared for the upcoming year, we wanted to provide parents and guardians with a list of some important tasks and “to-do” items prior to the start of school. We are dedicated to continuing to provide a high-quality learning environment for all students while maintaining our commitment to the safety and health of all students, staff, and the community. District Student/Parent Handbook

Read the Student/Parent Handbook to become familiar with expectations, guidelines, policies, and the student code of conduct at NCSD. After reading, families can acknowledge receipt of the District’s Student/Parent Handbook electronically when completing their District Parental Agreement forms online via Campus Parent.

Stay Connected! Campus Parent Allows You to Choose the Notification Preferences You Want!

As you begin to get ready for the upcoming academic year, please log on to your Campus Parent and ensure your email, phone, address, and other notification preferences are up-to-date and accurate.
Campus Parent is your window into your child’s world at school. Stay connected and keep track of your children’s educational journey at NCSD. Campus Parent gives parents/guardians access to their child(ren)’s school information in one convenient location.

NCSD Student Bus Registration Information

Please register your child for NCSD Transportation today, August 21, 2020 to ensure your child has an assigned seat on their designated bus prior to the first day of school.
NCSD Transportation’s goal is to meet the guidelines as provided by state and local health officials while ensuring a safe and healthy transportation experience for all student riders and staff.
All student riders must register, even if your child rode NCSD Transportation in previous years. You can register your child within your Campus Parent Portal.

There is limited spacing available on busses due to COVID-19 restrictions, please only register your child if you intend for them to ride the bus frequently and consistently.

NCSD Food Services: Information on the Family Application for Free and Reduced Meals

Natrona County School District participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. This program provides free and reduced-price meals to students who qualify. In order to qualify your household income must fall between the guidelines and each family must complete one family free and reduced application for the new school year.
If your family’s financial situation changes throughout the year, you may complete the application again.
Natrona County School District encourages you to apply for free or reduced meals online. The process is quick, easy, and secure.

NCSD Required Parental Agreement Forms

As you prepare for #BackToSchool we ask that all K-12 families go online, prior to the 1st day of school and/or athletic/activity practices, and complete required student information forms. These forms include necessary and required information for your child(ren) to attend school, participate in sports or activities, attend field trips, and more.
By completing this process electronically, your child’s school will have a record of your agreement and signature.

NCSD Smart Start Communication Updates

The intent of the Smart Start reopening plan is to open schools, keep them open, and provide a high-quality learning environment for all students to progress in their learning while maintaining our commitment to the safety and health of all students, staff, and the community. NCSD is committed to providing timely, accurate, and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders. NCSD has developed a strategic communication plan for the deployment of information and resources as related to NCSD’s Smart Start Reopening Plan.

NCSD Lab Preschool

The Natrona County School District’s Lab Preschool at the Pathways Innovation Center is accepting new students. The NCSD Lab Preschool provides high school students with the opportunity to earn Early Childhood credentials by completing coursework and practicum hours.
