Megan Meier Foundation Visits NCSD Schools

In early November the Natrona County Suicide Prevention Coalition brought the Megan Meier Foundation to Casper to visit with students, teachers, and the community about cyberbullying and bullying prevention and intervention. The Megan Meier Foundation was formed by Tina Meier after her daughter took her own life after being a victim of cyberbullying.

Thanks to a grant from the Natrona County Suicide Prevention Coalition, Tina Meier shared her story and message in 14 presentations in our community. The Megan Meier Foundation is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students Through education, prevention, and intervention we work to support and inspire actions to end bullying, cyberbullying, and suicide.” (https://meganmeierfoundation.org/)

On November 6th, what would have been Megan’s 26th birthday, Tina spent the day talking to students about suicide and bullying. “What a better way to spend her birthday than trying to make a difference,” She tells the students about the hardships Megan experienced growing up, the way she was treated by her classmates and even friends. Tina’s message drives home the importance of being kind to the people around you. She reminds students that our words and actions have a profound impact on others.
