Through this exceptional project, students, staff, and the Bar Nunn school community exemplified what it means to be responsible citizens by supporting others through meaningful service. Their collective efforts highlight the power of positive acts of kindness and service, with 4,000 items donated to the Wyoming Food For Thought Project.
Throughout the year, Bar Nunn Student Council members work to contribute to a positive school environment through community service projects, school spirit initiatives, and engaging activities while developing their leadership skills.
Members of the Student Council leadership team shared their reflections on the importance of the project:
"It makes my heart feel good to help out other people. It was definitely a fun thing to include for my last year being at Bar Nunn. The community has done so much for us all, so it is important to do things for them too." - Jade, Student Council President.
"It makes me feel really happy to raise these donations. I think this is going to be really good for everybody. I think it is important to give back because sometimes we take in so much stuff, and we don't realize that other people don't have that much, so I think that giving back makes everything better." - Addie, Student Council Vice-President.
Wyoming Food for Thought Project is a local non-profit organization dedicated to combating childhood hunger within our community. The Food for Thought Food Bag Program provides children with breakfast, lunch, and dinner items for every day they are out of school.
