NCSD's Casper Mountain Science Program allows students to explore the natural world around them using the framework of science!
Students from Southridge Elementary spent the morning on the mountain, exploring the roles of trappers, loggers, and miners while studying the natural environment. The mining group learned about the various rocks and minerals covering our mountains, the trappers watched for signs of the many animals that move through the area, and the loggers gained new knowledge on the diverse species of trees around Wyoming.
NCSD's Casper Mountain Science Program is committed to providing students with the opportunity to learn outdoors, increase their knowledge of science, delight in nature, and reflect on their place in the world.
