Natrona County High School JROTC Students Demonstrate Exceptional Leadership

Natrona County High School's JROTC team was recently recognized by Visit Casper Marathon for their commendable efforts in assisting emergency management officials during a medical occurrence at the event. With quick thinking and effective communication, they efficiently coordinated and assisted officials with crowd control and incident management. NCHS’s JROTC team is known for its commitment to community service and leadership development, and this incident underscores their dedication to serving others. The students demonstrated not only their training but also their compassion and ability to perform under pressure. 
 
“Their prompt and coordinated efforts were instrumental in ensuring that emergency services could access the patient quickly, which was crucial in stabilizing the individual and ultimately saving their life,” remarked Marlene Short, Visit Casper Marathon Director. “We extend our deepest appreciation to the Natrona County High School JROTC on behalf of the entire Visit Casper Marathon team. Their professionalism, dedication, and quick action are truly inspiring and reflect great credit upon your program and the values it instills in its participants.”

Established in 1913, the Mustang Battalion is committed to motivating young people to be better citizens. JROTC provides students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, serve the community, and practice goal-setting. Throughout the year, cadets work dedicatedly to excel as teams and individuals with rifle and drill competitions, Raider Challenges, and supporting school and community projects.
