The Seal of Biliteracy is a nationally recognized honor bestowed upon student recipients from Paradise Valley Elementary, Park Elementary, CY Middle School, and Dean Morgan Middle School.
As students choose to progress in their learning, many continue forward into high school biliteracy opportunities, where they have been honored with the Wyoming Seal of Biliteracy by the Wyoming Department of Education. The Wyoming Seal of Biliteracy (WY-SoBL) encourages students to pursue biliteracy, honors the skills our students attain, and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices. Dual Language Immersion at NCSD is a parent choice program that begins in Kindergarten at the following schools: Paradise Valley Elementary School (Mandarin Chinese), Park Elementary School (Spanish), and Verda James Elementary School (Spanish). The DLI program continues into middle school at CY (Mandarin Chinese) and Dean Morgan (Spanish). Students must be enrolled in the elementary program beginning in Kindergarten in order to be eligible to continue in middle school. Opportunities to continue studies in World Languages continue for interested high school students.
