Throughout the school year, these student-athletes exhibit excellent sportsmanship by participating in academic and athletic activities while also serving as leaders in the classroom.
The Sportsmanship Champions Awards recognize and celebrate the outstanding qualities of leadership, fairness, strong character, teamwork, and compassion exhibited by students and coaches.
During the celebration, students reflected on what sportsmanship meant to them. Respecting your teammates and others, attitude & effort, and having fun while competing were common thoughts shared by students and coaches alike.
Thank you to the Athletics & Activities Department for their commitment to celebrating these students and coaches year after year! This wonderful celebration is a well-known tribute to sportsmanship throughout the district. One of the highlights of this year's event was when Coach Josh Lindsay recognized himself as a student recipient in a photo of the 1st Annual Middle-Level Sportsmanship Awards. This further highlights the lasting positive impact and legacy of great sportsmanship and exceptional character that follows students throughout their life's journey.
