Fifty-four teams of students in grades 4th – 8th from across Wyoming, including seventeen Natrona County teams, participated in the 2023 FIRST LEGO League Challenge Wyoming Championship. NCSD students in grades K-3 showcased their exceptional engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork skills as they competed in their own LEGO challenge, building upon future success for years to come.
This year, the FIRST LEGO League Masterpiece encouraged teams to use their ingenuity to imagine and innovate new ways to create and communicate globally. The First Lego League Masterpiece robot game challenged students to use technology to improve an audience’s experience of creative production. Teams were challenged to explore STEM's role in the arts, and points were scored by activating different types of technology. Teamwork and gracious professionalism were fully displayed as the building blocks for their outstanding ideas and solutions.
The tournament’s top honor, The Champion’s Award, recognized a team that embodies the FIRST LEGO League experience by fully embracing LEGO’s Core Values while achieving excellence and innovation in the Robot Game and Innovation Project.
Congratulations to all student participants on an exceptional showing of your creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and design skills!
A special thank you to all volunteers, judges, teachers, club sponsors, school families, NCSD Athletics and Activities, NCSD Maintenance, BOCES, FIRST partners, and all others whose support encourages students to continue creating, designing, and innovating!
