Though it was a chilly morning, the sun shined bright on students, staff, school families, and community members as they came together to celebrate the new Park Elementary Greenhouse space.
Principal Catellier shared her appreciation for the collaborative project and its future positive impact on student learning, "What started as a tiny seed of hope over two years ago has blossomed into this beautiful learning space you see in front of you today. The seeds we intend to sow here are the ones rooted deeply in hand's-on experiences where students find joy, peace, and perseverance. We hope to grow learners who, rather than only reading about science in a textbook, have the opportunity to sink their hands in the dirt and learn by doing! Thank you to all those who have helped bring an idea hanging on a classroom wall to fruition!"
Thank you to the Casper Community Greenhouse Project, led by LeAnn Miller, for their dedicated work in bringing this greenhouse to life, helping to provide a variety of learning opportunities for students beyond planting and growing.
Park Elementary School is committed to challenging their community to be creative thinkers who believe in their abilities and achieve their dreams!
Special thanks to the Casper Chamber of Commerce, media partners, and all others who joined in on the celebration.
