COVID-19 Communication Update

January 6, 2022

Based on newly identified guidelines from the Centers for Disease and Control regarding the change in quarantine and isolation periods, the Natrona County School District will no longer offer remote learning for students out of school for less than five days. Students will be provided the opportunity to make up missed work according to policy. If a student will be out of school for six days or more due to COVID-19 isolation or quarantine, families can work with the school administrator to engage remote learning opportunities.

NCSD was able to report COVID-19 student quarantines and isolations due to a parent/guardian informing the school of their student needing to isolate or quarantine and subsequently requesting remote learning. As that practice will no longer consistently occur due to the CDC updated guidelines, combined with the continued declines in student/staff COVID-19 positive numbers, we will no longer track or report COVID-19 impacts to NCSD.

Persons interested in COVID-19 numbers in Natrona County can visit the Wyoming Department of Health website at www.health.wyo.gov or caspervcovid.com.

The Natrona County School District does not contact trace for close contacts, test students for COVID-19, or quarantine or isolate individuals as related to COVID-19. For more information on the updated CDC Guidelines regarding isolation and quarantine, please see the resources below:
