The Natrona County School District was made aware this morning of nationwide reports regarding a rumored threat on a social media platform calling for nationwide school violence tomorrow, December 17th, 2021.
At this time, there are no known specific or identified threats to NCSD.
Please, if you or your student is aware of any suspicious activity or social media posts identifying potential violence, report it immediately to local law enforcement and/or school officials. We encourage parents and guardians to take this opportunity to talk with your student about the seriousness and resulting school and legal consequences of making any kind of threat, and about the appropriate use of social media.
There will be law enforcement presence across the district as a precautionary measure. We are working directly with local law enforcement on continued monitoring and investigation regarding any potential school safety concerns.
