The Natrona County School District would like to share our congratulations to the outstanding Pathways Innovation Center Students who recently earned industry certifications!
Thirty-six Core Construction class students worked throughout the first semester to meet OSHA 10 Construction training requirements. These students put forth exceptional work and commitment to their education as they completed the requirements needed to earn these industry-recognized credentials.
Thirty-one NCSD students worked diligently to meet the ASE Certifications requirements for Brakes and HVAC, and twenty-two students worked to meet the requirements for Forklift Operator Certifications. The Forklift Operator Certifications are the first received at Pathways Innovation Center, shared Troy Corson, PIC Automotive Instructor. “The students work really hard to obtain these certifications. One of the great things about our program is the collaboration and teamwork, as we are able to use the forklift as part of our Diesel Mechanic work as we study hydraulics.”
“We are thrilled for the terrific success of these students and congratulate them on their accomplishment in obtaining these certifications,” shared Tanya Southerland, Director of Public Relations, “We are incredibly excited to see their continued success throughout the remainder of the academic year and as they prepare for their next steps after graduation.”
Pathways courses of study include college–preparatory curriculum, industry certifications, portfolio development, and internships. P.I.C. offers advanced and professional coursework in the 11th and 12th grades, which build on introductory experiences. Experiences are aligned to student interests, which fulfill community needs.
At NCSD we are committed to empowering every learner to grow, excel, and be a successful contributor to the global and local community. We are incredibly fortunate to have the terrific students, staff, school families, and community members who go above and beyond every day, in and out of the classroom, to ensure educational excellence in Natrona County.
