Primary Learning Resource Adoption

Natrona County School District is establishing an aligned, articulated and assessed curriculum, commonly referred to as a Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum, in all nine content areas.  This work is being done in accordance with the NCSD Long Range Plan by Subject Area Committees comprised of members from a variety of schools, grade levels, and courses.

NCSD Primary Learning Resources:  All students must have access to curriculum and resources at their grade level in all nine content areas. Our District’s primary learning resources adoption dollars are responsible for purchasing every child’s core curriculum resources. A school’s dollar allocation will be based on a student per pupil expenditure. Programs such as GT, Advanced K, Classic K, BASE, FLS, ILS, and SPED Resource must select and purchase resources to meet the needs of students and align to NCSD Curriculum using an individual school’s allocation (per pupil expenditure). Programs such as Title I, Title III, Tutoring, GT, and Special Education may purchase supplemental materials outside of the child’s core curriculum resources for teachers and students with approval from the specific program director.
