PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Success For All reading facilitator duties include; peer coaching, modeling teaching strategies, data analysis, material management, assessment and placement of students, mentoring, monthly professional development activities for teachers and tutors, classroom observations with feedback to teachers and collaborative discussions, tutoring supervision, and attendance at SFA experienced site conferences. Recipient of two Eisenhower grants; 1) organization of a district Elementary Science Olympiad competition 2) Sleuthing Scientists, a crime/mystery science assessment activity for sixth grade students. Recipient of Technology grant for science probe ware and computers. Recipient of Title V grant for schoolwide Raising Readers workshops. Sponsor of eQualz Club (formerly Quations), Legos Robotics Club, Drama Club and CyberSurfari Club; regional representative for the Wyoming State Science Standards writing team, district science vertical committee member, team member of district sixth grade science benchmark assessment design & implementation; trained in Success For All Reading, Connected Mathematics Project, 6+1 Writing Traits and Step Up To Writing, 1998-present.
Sponsored Drama Club and Tech Heads, member of the School Improvement team, Technology team & the district Science Vertical Committee; Coordinated Math Day; wrote planned, managed & arranged spending of Eisenhower funds; designed Mission Statement, School Improvement Plan cover, contents & appendix, 1995-1998.
Taught 3 sections of 6th grade science. Supervised several clubs including spelling, math, & Quations, in addition to coordinating and hosting the NCSD #1 Quations Tournament (1994), participated in Virtual Reality & 6th grade Technology grant projects, actively involved in a variety of committees, coordinated Science Fair and Math Day, co-recipient of Project Wild grant, 1991-95.
Participated in developing School Centered Decision Making program, wrote & received grant from the Museum of Outdoor Arts working with multimedia, developed & taught G/T art classes. Organized Math Olympiad problem solving sessions for all interested fifth graders, recommended concepts for art curriculum, vigorously participated on the district employee volleyball team for 2 years, & attended graduate classes from the University of Northern Colorado, 1988-90.
