Purpose:

Lego Robotics Club is for students that enjoy working as a team, problem solving, and designing. No experience is necessary, just a good attitude and perserverence. Club meets once a week and is open to 5th & 6th graders.

*Mindstorm Lego Kits are used

*RoboLab v. 2.6.0 programming software

Mini Challenges:

Teams will program their robot to:

1. no sensors attached, 2 motors

• move forward 2 feet
• turn 90 degrees to the left
• move forward 1 foot and stop

2. no sensors attached, 2 motors

• move forward 3 feet
• spin 360 degrees
• back up 1 foot
• progress robot forward to come to a stop at the starting postion

3. touch sensor, 2 motors

• take an alternate route when robot bumps into object

4. light sensor, 2 motors

• follow a black line for 2 feet
