District Science Fair
The Natrona County District and Regional Science Fair will be held February 2, 2013. Start building and designing your entry now!
Science fairs give students the opportunity to model the work of professional research scientists. Students who develop science projects learn or improve their:
Scientific method and experimentation skills
Logical thinking and problem-solving skills
Writing and public speaking abilities
Advanced library research skills
Understanding and appreciation of the discipline of science and careers in science
Winning is not the goal of a science fair project. Success should be measured by the following criteria: The student worked hard, increased in knowledge, improved his/her organizational skills, enhanced his/her thinking skills, and had fun along the way.
If you know of students who may be interested in doing a science fair project but their school does not participate in science fair, have them call the Casper Planetarium at 577-0310 and we will help them with their projects!
Natrona County Regional Science Fair
Students in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades can participate in Regional Science Fair. Each participant must fill out all forms found at the University of Wyoming Science Fair Page as well as a W9 form.
Students who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at Regional Science Fair are invited to continue on to State Science Fair.
