New to NCSD
Welcome to the Natrona County School District.
Families who are new to our district may enroll their students in school at any time.
NCSD is an open enrollment district, meaning you may enroll your child in any school with available space, regardless of where in the county you live.
If you are new to the district, you can go either to a school or to the Central Services Facility to enroll. If there is not room in the school you visit, the staff on-site can help you find a different school for your child and can walk you through the enrollment process. They also can help place you on a wait list for your school if choice, if you wish.
Please note: All students entering the Natrona County School District must have proper records of immunization. Wyoming State Law (21-4-309) requires that all kindergarten students have the following immunizations by 30 days after the start of school in the fall:
* 5 DTP/TD minimum with one dose administered at age 4 before starting kindergarten
* 4 Polio minimum
* 2 MMR minimum
* 3 Hepatitis B
* 2 varicella (chickenpox)
Students starting seventh grade also must have a TDaP vaccine.
Immunizations are available with an appointment at the Casper-Natrona County Health Department, 475 S. Spruce St., with a $10 donation. No child will be denied immunization due to an inability to pay.
Immunization waivers may be obtained only from the State or County Health Officer upon submission of written evidence of religious objection or medical contraindication to the administration of any vaccine.
All students also must present their original, legal birth certificate before the first day of school. Baptism or hospital certificates cannot be accepted.
