Middle Schoolers Explore Health Careers at Wyoming Medical Center
04.17.2012

Middle school students from NCSD will be looking into health career options at an upcoming career fair hosted by Wyoming Medical Center. The fair is targeted toward sixth through eighth graders. Students will be able to visit various stations including an interactive tour in the hospital's SIMS lab and ambulance. About 50 students from six middle schools in Natrona County will take part in the career fair on April 19, 2012 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

"Students who are introduced to a variety of careers in junior high or middle school helps establish a career pathway for high school," said Theresa Fountain, Career Selection Facilitator, NCSD. "Students attending career fairs get a glimpse of a possible future occupation through the eyes of a professional rather than a text book."
