NCSD releases new pin designs

The three academic goals of the Natrona County School District’s strategic plan inspired this year’s People Inspiring NCSD (P.I.N.) program: prepared graduates, literate students and excelling schools.

Each year, NCSD issues four new pins for exchange within the district. In the fall, every employee receives two of the pins. (If you haven’t received yours, please e-mail communication_team@natronaschools.org.) These pins are yours to trade or to present to other NCSD employees in recognition of their outstanding service to students, families and NCSD goals!

If you want to recognize a team member’s actions, just hand them a pin and say thanks!

Then, go to your building’s office to find a nomination form, or download it off of the Employee Recognition page at www.natronaschools.org (under Human Resources). The short form asks for your name, the name of the person you want to recognize, school location and the reason for the recognition.

People who are nominated for their good deeds will be eligible for a monthly prize drawing featuring such goodies as movie passes, coffee shop gift cards and bookstore gift certificates. All nominations are published on the district’s Web site to publicly recognize the great work of NCSD employees! Plus, as the person making a nomination, you’ll get a replacement pin, as long as supplies last, to keep the recognition going.

The Natrona County School District supports teams, too! Team nominations are available on special request. To nominate a team and receive pins for each member, contact Community Relations at communication_team@natronaschools.org. Prizes will be available for teams when applicable.

Show off the pins you receive! Stick them in bulletin boards near your desk, wear them on jackets or bags, or on your lanyards!

Sharing a pin is a great way to give a coworker an immediate pat on the back, but you don’t have to wait for someone to do something outstanding to exchange pins. Start today!
