03.31.2010

The Kelly Walsh Student Council is once again raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wyoming. Last year, the council raised $10,202; this year, its goal is to raise $15,000! This will allow KWHS to grant two wishes to eligible wish children! Here is a list of upcoming activities the council is hosting:

April 5: KWHS Buff Puff Volleyball — Calling all Trojan men! Organize a team of six and participate in the KWHS Wish Month Buff Puff Volleyball Tournament! An entry fee of $5 per player is required. A bracket will be created and the winning team will take on the NCHS Buff Puff Champions on Tuesday, April 6. A $3 fee is charged for spectators to attend. All proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wyoming. The volleyball tournament begins at 6 p.m. in the KWHS main gym.

April 6: KWHS vs. NCHS Buff Puff Volleyball — The KWHS Buff Puff Champions will take on the NCHS Buff Puff Champions! A $3 spectator fee will be charged at the door. The game begins at 6 p.m. in the KWHS main gym. Both KWHS and NCHS will split the proceeds, which will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wyoming.

April 12: Wish Month Carnival — This year's carnival will take place from 6-9 p.m. at Kelly Walsh High School. A wide variety of games and activities will be available with lots of prizes to be given away. Snow cones, popcorn and face painting also will be available.
