Exchange Student Raising Funds for Polio Plus
10.27.2011

Paulo Adujamra wants to share a dream of more than 1 million Rotarians - the dream of seeing the world free of polio. Fortunately 99% of all countries are already free of polio, but four are not - Nigeria, India, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Paulo is an exchange student from Brazil, spending the year at Kelly Walsh. Rotary International is behind a project to raise money to help eradicate polio. Paulo is a member of the Interact Club of Botucatu, Brazil, and his group is working toward Rotary's goal. Paulo is selling tickets for $1 each. 100% of the money with the sale of these tickets will be donated to "Polio Plus." The Interact Club of Botucatu's goal is to donate $10,000 to "Polio Plus."
