Local Musher and Dogs to Visit Crest Hill
01.26.2012

Pam Dunn, a local musher, will visit Crest Hill Elementary School from 9:15 to 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, with her sleds, dogs and gear to talk about raising, training and racing sled dogs. Dunn is a promoter of the Canines for Charity Dog Sled Races, which will run Feb. 11 and 12 on Casper Mountain.

Dunn is visiting the school because of a reading incentive program Bonnie White, Crest Hill's librarian, has started. The Winter Reading Incentive Program focuses on the regional sled dog races, and encourages students to read books — both fiction and non-fiction — on this topic, and then write a review. They then turn in the review and claim a participation prize.

Media are highly encouraged to attend this event. Please contact Ms. White at 253-4200 for more information.
