Dean Morgan auctions artwork to encourage reading

Dean Morgan Junior High is finishing out the year with the last of the silent auction chairs. The chairs are on display in the library (pictures are attached).

The project highlights chairs previously used in the building that are beyond their useful school life, which have been painted by parents, staff and community members in support of Dean Morgan Junior High School.

Additionally, E. Lynette Fransen donated a copy of the painting entitled "Struttin" for auction. The artwork can be viewed here.

Proceeds from the silent auctions will be used to purchase materials to encourage daily reading with the Dean Morgan students.
