Dean Morgan's 'got books'

Dean Morgan Junior High will host a literacy week in conjunction with National Libraries Week April 12-16. 

Several activities are planned:

Monday-Friday — Scholastic Book Fair and Natrona County Public Library Read 100 activities

Monday during Comet Block — Students create book quote posters

Monday, 10:30 a.m. outside of the main office — Mayor Bill Brauer will read a proclamation announcing "the week of April 12-16, 2010, as Dean Morgan Junior High Literacy Week in our community."

Tuesday — Students wear "Got books?" T-shirts

Tuesday and Wednesday — Guest readers read to students

Wednesday during Comet Block — Teachers distribute "Just Right Books" bookmarks

Thursday — Door-decorating contest and special guest appearance by Comet Man and Festus during an honor roll celebration

Friday — Announcement of winners of door-decorating contest, quilt drawing and iMovie book trailers
