NCSD students qualify for National History Day

Several Natrona County School District students placed at State History Day on Monday. The following students qualified for the National History Day competition, which will be held in Washington, D.C. this summer:
* Ashley Budack and Teresa Johnston of Poison Spider, "First in Flight," second place junior group exhibits
* Jordan Yates and Brielle Tobin of Dean Morgan Junior High, "Watt is the Answer. Who Invented the Steam Engine?" third place junior group performance
* Melissa Phillips of Dean Morgan Junior High, "Fred Harvey: Entrepreneur," first place junior individual performance
* Madison Orcutt of Natrona County High School, "Teenagers: The Evolution of an Era," first place senior individual documentary
* CJ Monville and Raymon Martinez of Natrona County High School, "Interstate Highway System: Innovation of a Nation on the Move," first place senior group website
* Jordyn Carlsen, Teresa Fuller and Dana Grapes of Kelly Walsh High School, "Foto-Grafis: Control of Light, Impact and Change,: second place senior group website
* John Beeson of Kelly Walsh High School, "The Typewriter: Keying its Way into History," first place senior individual website
