Southridge birthday celebration postponed

Due to the discovery of historical information that better pinpoints the dedication date of the current Southridge Elementary School building, Principal Rick Skatula has postponed the birthday celebration from the original date (Tuesday, Oct. 27), to Tuesday, Dec. 8. It was on that day 50 years ago that the building was dedicated.

The school will attempt to recreate as much of original ceremony as possible, including inviting those people who were a part of that special day to join the school on this memorable anniversary.

More information, including the celebration time, will be forthcoming closer to the event.
