“Oregon Trail Elementary will maintain a safe, inclusive, respectful environment where teachers can teach and kids can learn.”

Oregon Trail is a very child-oriented school with an open-door policy for parents. The first priority is the education and well-being of all children. The entire staff has high expectations of students, both academically and socially. Along with parents, staff members strive to help students become productive citizens as they transition into secondary schools and finally into young adulthood.

Programs

Oregon Trail uses My Math, the district adopted math program to teach math concepts and practical application. The school also uses Step Up to Writing, as well as the McGraw Hill reading curriculum. Technology is integrated across the curriculum. Oregon Trail also uses the Boys Town and BullyProofing programs to help encourage students to solve problems independently and positively.

Activities

Students may participate in Science Fair, Early Bird Reading, Spelling Club, History Club, Lego Robotics, BullyProofing, Math Club, and Drumming Circle. Fourth- and fifth-graders may participate in volleyball, basketball and track through the Casper Recreation Center.

Hours

Classes run from 8:40 a.m. to 3:35 p.m.
