“Casper Classical Academy engages learners in a challenging classical education that fosters excellence, character, and independence.”
Casper Classical Academy is a public school, founded with a group of parents who wanted a school that offers a classical education with high expectations for all students, and a supportive staff dedicated to the success of students. CCA teaches a classical education that includes studying Western civilization and history, classical literature, and traditional subjects, including logic and Latin, and heavily emphasizing writing and analytical reading.
Casper Classical Academy follows a rigorous, classical, college-preparatory curriculum approved by the school’s Governing Council. Sixth and seventh graders take individual reading and writing classes, science, social studies, math, Latin, PE, and a fine and performing arts course (band, orchestra, choir OR art) every day. Eighth graders take English, science, social studies, math, a fine and performing arts class (band, orchestra, choir OR art), logic, PE/Health, and either Latin or Spanish every day. Ninth graders take English, science, social studies, math, a fine and performing arts class (band, orchestra, choir OR art), Political Discourse and Math Technology, PE/Health, and either Latin or Spanish every day. For students who qualify with advanced RIT scores and a teacher recommendation, they are placed in our accelerated reading, writing and/or math courses. Our every-day PE and fine and performing arts classes are something we are very proud to offer.
