Safety Reminder from NCSD

On September 29, 2017 Natrona County School District officials received reports from students concerning suspicious activity near the area of Salt Creek Highway and Renauna Avenue in Natrona County. NCSD officials immediately notified local law enforcement of the situation. We would like to remind parents and guardians to visit with their students about not accepting rides from unknown individuals or approaching unknown vehicles and/or persons. Students should report anything suspicious to their bus driver, school personnel, parent/guardian or local law enforcement. Student and staff safety remains the number one priority of the Natrona County School District.

On September 29, 2017, the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Natrona County School District concerning suspicious activity near the area of Salt Creek Highway and Renauna Avenue in Natrona County. The school district reported two separate students saw a white four door Ford pick-up following the students in the morning and afternoon hours to and from the bus stop. They described the truck as a “work truck” with tinted windows, tool boxes in the back and lights on top of the truck. The driver was described as white male with facial hair, approximately 30 years old, wearing a camo baseball hat. The Natrona County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident and will provide further details as they surface.
