Midwest Students Launch Weather Balloon with the University of Wyoming!
Midwest students recently partnered with University of Wyoming to launch a weather balloon into the atmosphere. Students in 6th-8th grade CTE, Art, and Leadership classes collaborated on the project with the assistance of their teachers and the University of Wyoming NASA Space Grant Consortium.

Introducing the Pathways Innovation Center ACME Academy Teaching Team!
The Pathways Innovation Center is nearing completion and will be ready for students in August 2016. Over the next few weeks we will be introducing you to the teachers at the Pathways Innovation Center!
NCSD has learned of Hand Foot and Mouth Disease reports in some schools.
Hand Foot and Mouth Disease is a common viral illness usually affecting children younger than 5 years of age, but it may occur at any age.
Here are some signs and symptoms to look for:
- Reduced Appetite
- Sore Throat
- Painful sores in the mouth, which can progress to blisters
- A rash with spots that may also progress to blisters that appear on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.
- The rash may also be seen on the knees, elbows and other areas of the body.
Parents should contact their health care provider if these symptoms occur with their child.
