Four NCSD Teachers Honored with Arch Coal Awards

On May 16 four NCSD teachers were honored with Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Awards. Lucas Dow, Tom Grogan, Suzanne Nelson, and Heather Wetzel were chosen from public nominations and are part of a group of 10 Wyoming teachers to be honored.

2017-18 NCSD Preschool Registration

Ten schools in Natrona County will host half-day preschool programs during the
2017-18 school year. Applications for NCSD Preschools are available to families
until May 30, 2017.

Summer Food Program: Free Food for Kids starting June 7

Summer is right around the corner, and it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. Once again this year the Natrona County School District is partnering with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.

Evansville Celebrates Greenhouse Donors

On April 20 Evansville Elementary welcomed families and community members to a Parent Night where they honored the individuals and organizations that have helped make their greenhouse program a success.

Midwest School Closer to Re-Opening

Good news! The coordinated response efforts surrounding the gas leak at Midwest School have reached a point where the school is close to being re-opened. The installation of a vapor mitigation system is completed and the first round of air quality tests revealed good results.

Artemis, or Artie for short, starting working as Centennial Middle School’s therapy dog in January 2017. She works in group and individual settings and is beloved by the entire Centennial community.
