No School Feb. 16 & Feb. 19

Students will be out of school on Friday, February 16 as teachers and staff participate in professional development and on Monday, February 19 in observance of President’s Day. This four-day weekend for students will be the only days off of school between now and Spring Break at the end of March.


Volunteers Needed for 2018 FIRST Tech Challenge

Are you interested in volunteering for the 2018 FIRST Tech Challenge Wyoming State Championship Tournament?

The event is Saturday, February 17 at CY Middle School and they need judges! A short training is involved and you’ll be all set to help out on the 17th!

NCSD District and Regional Science Fair

The Natrona County School District & Junior Regional Science Fair was held on the weekend of February 3 at Saint Anthony Tri-Parish Catholic School.

A total of 63 students met in Casper for the Science Fair. Congratulations to NCSD students Sage Wright (NCHS), Taylor Choal (NCHS), Josh Schrader (FCA), Kendall Cahoon (FCA), and Madison Dickinson (Natrona Virtual) for placing in the competitions!

Holocaust Survivor Presentation – Mar. 10

Inga McCoy of KWHS, John Trohkimoinen from NCHS, and Lance Jones from Casper College have put together a Holocaust Seminar March 8-10 in Casper. It is free and open to the public.

The closing session on Saturday afternoon is a presentation from Holocaust survivor Inge Auerbacher. This session will be held in the auditorium at Natrona County High School. Tickets are free to this presentation, but are required for admission and can be obtained here.


2018-19 NCSD Preschool Registration Information

Registration for NCSD’s preschool program will be from May 1-31, 2018.

Seven schools in Natrona County will host half-day preschool programs during the 2018–19 school year: Bar Nunn, Cottonwood, Evansville, Journey, Lincoln, Midwest, and Pineview Elementary Schools. Preschool students must be 3 or older by September 15, 2018.

Title II State-Level Uses of Funds Survey

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) has developed a needs assessment survey regarding professional development. It will help guide decision-making about which professional development activities will be coordinated and delivered by the WDE.

Wyoming school personnel, parents, and community members are invited to participate in this survey to help determine what activities will be offered by the WDE to augment professional development initiatives with the goal of preparing, training, and recruiting high-quality teachers, principals, and other school leaders. Click here to take the survey.

This survey will be open until February 28, 2018.
