NCHS photo students will have their photographs on display at the Metro Coffee House March 5 – April 8th. The exhibit, A Photographic Journey, represents a personal journey that NCHS Photo 2 students have taken throughout the year.
As students observed the natural world they have found unique ways to connect and respond to their environment through the use of the photography process. Some of the photos in the exhibit were shot on a trip to Yellowstone. Wyoming Camera Outfitters sent their photographer Chris Luse to work with the students on the trip. The students had a great time learning from an amazing professional photographer and enjoyed the opportunity to photograph the Tetons and the mineral pools.
NCHS, Fine Arts Teacher, Sheila McHattie shared her appreciation for the community support of the art students and their dedicated and talented work, “This will be our 8th year showing photos at the Metro. It is amazing to see the great work our students produce each year. Students choose the image that they wanted to place in the show. Each student has written about what they are expressing in their image. The show is over spring break so everyone come down to the Metro have a coffee and enjoy the art!”
