Who We Are
Parents and community members, working with the support of District staff as a resource, comprise the NCSD Parent-Community Advisory Council. The goal of the council is to work with the school district and community to support high-quality education for all students.
A partnership of parents, staff, students, the Board, and the community leads to the best possible education for our children. PCAC plays a vital role in this partnership.
PCAC meets on a regular basis with administrators and other NCSD staff to ask questions, voice concerns, and formulate possible solutions. PCAC meets once a month during the lunch hour.
What We Do
The Council remains as informal and flexible as possible in its operations while functioning under the following guidelines:
• to be a voice of the parents and the community;
• to participate in decision-making processes for the District;
• to maintain representation on District-level committees, task forces and other ad hoc groups;
• to help maintain effective and continuous communication among the Natrona County schools, parents and the community;
• to provide a forum for cooperation among parents and the community;
• to encourage parents to become involved with their child’s school;
• to share ideas and information regarding school and community programs;
• to work with all partners to promote high-quality education.
Meeting Dates
The PCAC meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month August through April with the exception of December. Meetings begin at 11:45 a.m. and are held at the NCSD Central Services Facility located at 970 N. Glenn Road. The first meeting of the 2007-08 school year will be August 29.
